Attach a Resource to a Task

To create a Course Resource
  1. Open the Process Manager.
  2. Expand the Task to view the Resources heading.
  3. Right-click on the Resources heading, and select Course.

A new Course resource appears in edit mode, represented by the icon.

  1. Enter the name of the new Course resource.
  2. In the Properties section, set whether the course Provides Knowledge and/ or Provides Capability.

Providing Knowledge and/ or Providing Capability means that if these are set to Yes, and the Course Mark is obtained, the component(s) are considered complete (and will turn black).

  1. In the Properties section, set the course pass mark.
To create a URL Resource
  1. Open the Process Manager.
  2. Expand the Task to view the Resources heading.
  3. Right-click on the Resources heading, and select URL.

A new URL resource appears in edit mode, represented by the icon.

  1. Enter the name of the new URL resource.
  2. In the Properties section, highlight the field next to URL and enter the address to the resource.
To create a TRACCable Resource
  1. Open the Process Manager.
  2. Expand the Task to view the Resources heading.
  3. Right-click on the Resources heading, and select TRACCable.

A new TRACCable resource appears in edit mode, represented by the icon.

  1. Enter the name of the new TRACCable resource.
  2. In the Properties section, highlight the field next to URL and enter the address to the resource.
  3. (optional) In the Assessment URL field, enter the location of the session dll (or the name and location of the ASSESS database).

For example:   http://<your domain name>/q4/session.dll

If you do not wish to re-enter this location every time you create a Resource Assessment, you can set the session.dll as a default value using the Tools/ Object Definitions from the main menu.

  1. (optional) In the Assessment ID field, enter the corresponding number.
To add a Category/ Sub Category to a Resource
  1. Open the Process Manager.
  2. Expand the Task and Resources heading to view the individual resources.
  3. Select a resource.
  1. In the Properties section, select a Category and Sub Category.

When the Learner views My Job, the Resources are displayed under the Category/ Subcategory headings in the Task context view.  If no Categories/ Subcategories are assigned to the Resources, the resources appear in a flat list for the Learner.

To add Resource Categories/ Sub Categories to the system, a System Owner can access the Tools/ System Options/ Task tab/ Resource Categories and Sub Categories buttons.
