Change Permission Set for a Process

By default, all roles are assigned the TRACCESS default Permission Set.  The top Process Set or Process is assigned these defaults, and each subsequent Process Set or Process "inherits" the permission set from their parent - which means without modifying anything, every role will always have the default permission set for that role.  This is important for a few reasons:

Change the Permission Set for a Process Set/ Process
  1. Open the Processes Manager.
  2. Expand the Process Set/ Process that contains members whose permission sets you wish to change.
  3. Right-click on the Process Set/ Process name, and select Change Permission Sets.

The Change Permission Sets for <Process Set/ Process Name> dialog appears.

  1. For the role whose permission set you wish to change, uncheck the Inherit Permissions from Parent option.

The Use Permission Set dropdown field becomes enabled.

  1. Select the New Permission Set from the dropdown list.
  2. Click OK.
Change the Permission Set for a Child Organization Unit
  1. Open the Processes Manager.
  2. Expand the Process Set/ Process whose permissions sets have been changed, and select a child Process Set/ Process.
  3. Right-click on the Process Set/ Process name, and select Change Permission Sets.

The Change Permission Sets for <Child Process Set/ Process Name> dialog appears.

  1. For the role whose permission set you wish to change back to the default, uncheck the Inherit Permissions from Parent option.

The Use Permission Set dropdown field becomes enabled.

  1. Select the TRACCESS Role Permission Set from the dropdown list.
  2. Click OK.
