A password can be applied to a Knowledge Assessment to ensure that a Learner does not begin a test without supervision. This function is especially useful when it is mandatory for a Learner to be supervised while taking a Knowledge Assessment. For example, when a Learner is taking a final exam, it may be crucial that the Learner does not begin the test unsupervised. Once a password has been set, the assessment cannot be started until the correct password is entered.
Click on a Knowledge Assessment in the Processes manager.
Set the Knowledge Assessment Online property to "No." The password cannot be set unless the assessment is offline.
Type a password into the Assessment Password field. The password can be any number and combination of characters and numbers.
Change the Online property back to "Yes."
The Knowledge Assessment is now password protected.
Notes:
The Learner will only be prompted for a password on Final exams, not Practice exams.
Only one password can be set per Knowledge Assessment.
The password can be changed by the assessment author or the System Owner by repeating the steps above.
