Interpret Course Resources

A course can be attached to a Task as a Resource. This resource contains several properties including:

• Name

• Description

• URL

• Pass Mark

• Provides Knowledge

• Provides Capability

If the Provides Knowledge and/ or Provides Capability properties are set to Yes, then setting the Course Mark to complete (with a Pass Mark equal to or exceeding the indicated Pass Mark), will change the particular component to complete (black).

Within TRACCESS, the course resource is used by several roles to achieve different purposes:

• Subject Matter Experts - add a course resource to a Task, and may set the course as Provides Knowledge/ Provides Capability.

• Learners - complete a Course resource that is attached to a particular Task.

• Supervisors - Set Course Marks for employees.

Since a Course Resource can be added to more than one Task, Setting the Course Marks is available at the Organization Unit node.
