The Learner is the only role to never see the Edit menu. If you have any role in addition to the Learner role, you will see this menu.
Undo - reverses the previous action that was just completed.
Redo - reverses the previous Undo action.
Cut - this menu item is sensitive to what is currently selected. It removes the object from its current location, and places it on the clipboard. The objects this can apply to consist of: Process Sets, Processes, Sub Processes, Tasks, Resources, Organization Units and Employees
Copy - this menu item is sensitive to what is currently selected. It takes a copy of the object and places it on the clipboard. The objects this can apply to consist of: Process Sets, Processes, Sub Processes, Tasks, Resources, Organization Units and Employees
Paste - this pastes the contents of the clipboard at the selected location.
Paste as Derived Process - is a very limited function. If you have placed a Process in the clipboard (either by Cut or Copy), it can then be pasted on a Process Set as a Derived Process.
Delete - this removes the selected item from the database. The objects this can apply to consist of: Process Sets, Processes, Sub Processes and Organization Units.
Remove - this removes the selected item from the current location. The objects this can apply to consist of: Tasks, Resources, and Employees.
Rename - this allows you to edit the name of the selected object. This applies to: Process Sets, Processes, Sub Processes, Tasks, Resources, and Organization Units.
This particular function does not apply to an Employee, since the item that you see in the tree is a combination of two fields (the last and first name fields).
