Language - If your installation only includes English, you will not see any other languages in this dropdown list. However, if your installation includes other language packs, you could create different layouts in the different languages.
Paper Type - Generally, you will only use either 8 1/2x11 or A4, but there are certain international companies who may wish to create different report layout to accommodate for their different sites.
Layout File - This is an *.rpt file that has been generated using Crystal Reports. This file will indicate all of the fields and calculations required to generate the desired report.
Connect Information - this information is partly determined by the type of report you are generating.
If you are generating a report that is mining the main TRACCESS tables, you will select Connect to TRACCESS Main Database
If you are generating a report that is mining the Data Warehouse tables, you will select Connect to TRACCESS Data Warehouse tables
If you are generating a hybrid TRACCESS/ External Data Source report, you can either select Use Settings in Report File or Specify Connect Information.
Selecting Specify Connect Information requires a connection in order to pull the information from this source. This connection information differs depending on the data source.
Connecting to Oracle requires the Oracle Service Name, User ID and Password.
Connecting to SQL requires the Server Name, User ID, Password, and Database Name.
