Interpret TRACCable Resources

A TRACCable Resource is a type of resource that can be attached to a task or competence level. As with the other types of resources (Course and URL), TRACCable Resources can be reused within TRACCESS, to appear on several tasks and/or competence levels. A SCORM module can be added as a TRACCable resource as well. All resources can be accessed from the Add/Remove Resources dialog by right-clicking on the Resources heading and selecting Add/Remove Resources.

Contrary to other types of resources, TRACCable Resources can be associated with a completion status. As with a task, a TRACCable Resource can have three completion statuses: incomplete, complete, and revised. These Resource statuses use the same colors as task statuses (white, black, and red).

For example:

TRACCable Resources can be linked to an ASSESS assessment. This allows each resource to have its own assessment, even if it is simply a question such as "I have read and understood the contents of the attached document".

If your particular TRACCESS installation does not include ASSESS, a TRACCable Resource can also be marked as complete by clicking on a Mark as Complete button. This particular functionality is especially useful as a For Your Information tool for Learners. In other words, what have I read, and what do I still need to read.

Following the same principles of how a task becomes revised, a TRACCable Resource can also become revised. If the information within a TRACCable Resource changes (significantly enough so that its information must be reviewed), a revised date can be set by the Subject Matter Expert in the Process Manager. If an Employee has their TRACCable Resource marked as complete (either by successfully completing an ASSESS assessment or by clicking a Mark as Complete button), the TRACCable Resource icon will turn red.

Within TRACCESS, TRACCable resources are used by different roles to achieve different purposes:
