The Batch Processing tool consists of six functions designed to import, export, or archive information within your competency intelligence system. This information may be shared between TRACCESS databases and other systems through the use of text files, such as an Excel format file. Transfer of information between TRACCESS and another system is based on the following assumptions:
Export of information from TRACCESS should export only information that has been updated since the last export.
Import of information into TRACCESS must assume that all information coming in is up to date.
Information shared between systems must have an owner, which requires a single source of entry and multiple points of access and reporting.
Information transferred to TRACCESS is considered correct and will overwrite the current information.
Import Employees - Imports employee's personal information (can also include Org Unit information)
Archive Employees - Archives employee information by the use of three functions: Remove from all Org Units, Remove from All Process Sets and Processes, and Archive Unassigned Employees.
Import Learning Records - Imports employee learning records.
Import Process Model - Imports the processes and the structure that organizes them into the system.
Import Tasks - Imports task information.
Export Tasks - Exports task information.
