Interpret Knowledge Assessments

A Task can contain two components: a capability component and a knowledge component. The capability component is comprised of the hands-on learning involved in the Task, and is evaluated using a Capability Assessment.  The knowledge component is comprised of the theoretical learning involved in the Task and is evaluated using a written or Knowledge Assessment.

A Knowledge Assessment can either be created using a custom editor within TRACCESS, or can be linked to an external form (such as QuestionMark).  A Knowledge Assessment can contain a Practice Assessment, but must contain a Final Assessment.

The following graphic illustrates a sample Internal Knowledge Assessment.

Within  TRACCESS, a Knowledge Assessment is used by several roles for different purposes:

Subject Matter Experts

Learners

A completed Final Assessment that obtains the set pass mark will satisfy the Practical component of the Taskā€”this turns the Practical component of the Task to black.
